Canzone Lilla (Italian for "Lilac Song") was written for my Aunt Helen's 70th birthday. The original version of this piece was written and recorded for guitar and cello. As my composition experience grew, I revisited this piece and expanded the score to cello and piano. The story of the piece features the main character, Helen, walking through the woods, and we hear her experience before and after catching sight and scent of the lilac. It is my flagship composition for cello and piano, and it has become a crowd favorite at the different venues that I frequent.
